Si tratta di uno dei sistemi più importanti utilizzato nelle reti basate su IP.
info_text_how_does_it_work Android allows you to configure DNS servers in the wifi settings - but not for mobile connections (3G, 4G…). This however requires you to use a static IP address, doesn't allow switching easily and won't work with IPv6, among other disadvantages when compared to this app.

This app takes advantage of Androids VPN structure which allows devices to set DNS servers dynamically. To achieve this a local vpn is created which uses the same device as endpoint - this means the vpn connection neither connects to the internet itself, nor is it detectable from outside.
As this dummy-VPN can be started/stopped dynamically it allows for a range of features and automatation. This VPN isn't tapped and no data is read by it. It's just a middle man in changing the DNS servers.

Android consente di configurare i servers DNS nelle impostazioni delle connessioni wifi, ma non di quelle mobili (3G, 4G…). Tra gli altri svantaggi, a differenza di quest'app, Android richiede l'utilizzo di un indirizzo IP statico, non agevola lo switch e non funziona con IPv6.

Questa app, sfrutta la struttura di Androids VPN che consente ai dispositivi di impostare i servers DNS in modo dinamico. Per ottenere ciò, viene creata una VPN locale che utilizza lo stesso dispositivo dell'endpoint - questo significa che, la connessione VPN, non si connette ad Internet autonomamente né è rilevabile dall'esterno.
Poiché questa VPN fittizia può essere avviata/arrestata dinamicamente, consente una gamma di funzioni ed automazioni. Questa VPN non viene intercettata e da essa, non viene letto alcun dato. È solo un intermediario che cambia i servers DNS.
